How much does leaflet distribution cost in Buckinghamshire?

For 10,000 homes, expect roughly £350 to £600 to have a leaflet delivered alongside others, £950 to £1,500 to have it delivered on its own, and about £850 to print 10,000 A5 leaflets on heavy card. Here is where those numbers come from, and the costs people tend to miss.

Delivery: shared or on its own

Door to door distributors sell two kinds of delivery. Shared means your leaflet goes through the door with a few others from different businesses, which keeps the price down. Solus means yours goes through on its own, so it gets the household's full attention, at two to three times the price. A third option is delivery with the post by Royal Mail.

Royal Mail delivery needs a light leaflet (one provider we checked sets the limit at 20g), so it rules out heavy card. One local distributor charges less on a contract of at least four monthly rounds (£40 per 1,000 instead of £48) and has a £100 minimum invoice.

Printing

Two online printers published prices for 10,000 A5 leaflets of about £840 and £854. The £854 price was for 350gsm card printed on both sides. Lighter paper is cheaper, and a local litho printer can beat online prices on long runs, so it is worth asking for both.

Card weight matters more than people expect. A thin leaflet feels like junk mail and goes straight in the recycling. A heavy one feels worth keeping, and the point of a leaflet is that it is still on the fridge the day someone needs you.

The costs people miss

  • VAT. Some distributors add VAT and some are not registered. If your business is not VAT registered either, you cannot claim it back, so compare prices including VAT.
  • Minimums. Minimum invoices and minimum runs make a small first drop cost more per home than the headline rate.
  • Design. A designer's time is rarely in the delivery price.
  • Proof of delivery. Ask whether delivery is GPS tracked and whether you get the route report. Without it you are taking it on trust.
  • Measuring it. Without a QR code or a tracked phone number on the leaflet, you will not know which calls it brought in.

A shared run with one business per trade

The Local Run is our way of getting the reach of a 10,000 home drop without paying for all of it. Six local businesses share one premium leaflet, one per trade, so your rival is never on it. A panel is £199 a month and includes the design, the print on heavy card, GPS tracked delivery, your own QR code and tracked number, and a monthly report. If you want your own leaflet, a solo drop to 5,000 homes is £495 and to 10,000 homes is £850. There is no VAT to add.

Prices are from distributors' and printers' own websites, checked on 23 October 2026. They change, and most firms quote by area and leaflet weight, so ask for a written quote before you book.
